Road Works to Commence on 20th March at Shard Junction

The council have been asked to share some up and coming road works at the Shard Junction, please read the information below - 

De-trunking and improvement works will begin on Wednesday, March 20th, at Shard junction. Three-way traffic lights will be in place on Mains Lane and Shard Road. This work will take approximately twelve weeks to complete.The temporary lights will be operational day and night throughout the works, with multiple phases until the work is finished.

Once the new traffic lights are installed and commissioned, we will remove the temporary traffic lights.Residents on Mains Lane will have continuous access to their properties throughout the works.

We anticipate that traffic travelling to and from Over Wyre will be affected during these works. However, we will be able to adjust the timings on the traffic lights, due to less traffic using Mains Lane.

We will endeavour to complete this work as quickly as possible. Due to unforeseen circumstances and the adverse effect of weather, this could affect our works and the duration that temporary traffic-lights are in place Thank you for your patience while we improve Mains Lane and Shard junction.”
